Unguarded and Pure: Tableau Vivant

Unguarded and Pure: Tableau Vivant

In NYC, in Spring of 2011 an anticipated 120 models will be assembled into a series of suspended interactions. Photographer, artist and musician, Sarah Small and collaborators will bring to life, The Delirium Constructions, a series of still photographic images depicting unlikely characters in improbable scenarios. At once performance, party and experiment, the Tableau Vivant will be both the centerpiece and immersive environment for 1500+ expected attendees. Since 2009, Small has directed several smaller Tableaux, exploring various components of the upcoming performance, leading up to the 120-model Tableau

Tickets are now on sale for the world-premiere of the 120-Model Tableau Vivant of the Delirium Constructions at the beautiful Skylight One Hanson

May 23rd and 24th, 2011!

"Small leaves us with a little piece of herself, unguarded and pure, and along with it a new understanding of humanity, if we are open enough to accept it."
–Lindsay Comstock, Eyemazing Magazine

“In a world that often distances us from feelings of genuine emotion, Small compels us towards speculating on the human condition in all it’s variety, intimacy, and vulnerability.”
–Lisa Stinner, Curator, Platform Gallery

“…[Small’s] true talent is for exploring the grotesque lurking just below that idealized façade.”
–Catherine Talese, American Photo Magazine
